Yes it's true God loves us and He knows our names as Fr. John Corapi, a Catholic priest said. Here is video of him telling us about his conversion from being a sinner to becoming a man of God. It is never too late to seek the mercy of God. During this lenten season may we be able to strengthen our faith in God and trust in Him with all our heart and soul. As a sinner as well I know how God loves me unconditionally and we need Him to guide us always in everything we do.

the One up there saves the day!
I really really had a bad dream last night!!!!...God I thought it was real and so glad to realize that it was just a dream...There was a big big fire as like a towering inferno!!!!It wss really sooo frightening...Then I woke up and prayed hard to the One up there because sometimes I feel like there were some messages that God might be trying to tell me in some of my dreams whether they're scary or not...I remember that there was this I would call unfortunate event that had happened in the past and I dreamed of it before it happened...or probably it was just coincidence?....Although the places, the people who were in that particular dream were different from those that got affected from the tragedy.....But the same sullen, shock, blank faces appeared in my dream....I am not the type of a person who would take dreams esp. bad dreams too seriously but because of that experience I had when I saw for real those shock and blank stares that I thought I would only see in my dream, now, everytime I would have a bad dream I would pray so hard so that those sad sad things won't happen...Yes, probably God is telling me to pray hard for myself and for others....There are lots of people who are still in the midst of suffering , probably they have some social problems not yet resolved by their own countries, who are involved in wars, in poverty, etc. etc. ... All of us should give hope to those who suffer, to those who are hopeless....We should always stay positive as much as possible...and I would tell myself only God knows what will happen to us, to all of us ....that prayers could give us hope and could change anything even those things that we might think are fated....God tells us to have faith in Him....and He is our Savior so we must put ourselves in His love and trust Him with all our heart and we will be safe always.....

Philippines Icon of Democracy
I just love our icon of democracy the late former President Corazon C. Aquino....May we love our country unselfishly as much as she had and be inspired by the goodness she had shared during her time....

trust the heart...
Our Hearts’ Desires
So brand new to begin,
My heart’s desires are simply true
Hoping we’re not asking too much
Coz we’re in love, we care a lot……
Oh it’s not easy to fall in love
Your heart is aching, desires are breaking
Things are hard and don’t meet halfway
And so we chose to break away…….
Now we have new plans for the future
I chose my way, you chose your way
Until the end, our hearts’ desires,
Will set us free…….
Dedicated to all the lovers out there, the brokenhearted, the separated, and even to those who have mended their broken hearts…..

A Beautiful Song for Mary and Jesus
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
That your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered
Will soon deliver you
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will calm a storm with His hand?
Did you know
That your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby
You've kissed the face of God
Mary, did you know?
The blind will see
The deaf will hear
And the dead will live again
The lame will leap
The dumb will speak
The praises of the Lamb
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know
That your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding
Is the Great I Am
Oh Mary did you know?

let's do something for mother earth...
In less than half an hour we'll be celebrating Earth Hour...Yes we must save energy for the sake of our planet...We must save Mother Earth...In our own country we are experiencing El Nino....We can see the economic, social, environmental effects of El Nino... Some would suffer from heat strokes and other health problems, damage to agriculture and food shortages, unemployment, domestic water shortages, even fish kills are hitting us and a lot more.... This must be the reason too why there are so many vehicular accidents nowadays....Drivers are becoming impatient, irritable because of the hot weather....Yes, we almost had an accident this afternoon and I blame it on the weather somehow.....It is the heat that had made the drivers irritable....and I pity the drivers who would be on the road everyday and would have to stand the heat for so many hours....and yet the weather in turn if she could only speak would probably tell us....Well you don't have to blame me....you must do something in order to save our planet from experiencing climate change or global warming and other environmental problems......

My inspiration...LOVE
When I was in sixth grade, that was a long long time ago^^, I remember that we were given some pocket bibles from missionaries upon our graduation day....and one of the missionaries told us to read the bible during our summer vacation and I did.... I had the chance to read about love on Corinthians and ofcourse never really understood what love is at that time and all I can do is just tell everyone when asked to define love that love is not selfish.....As I grew older it meant more aside from that it is being unselfish.....It has guided me in my everyday life as a source of inspiration.....having love inside you will humble you as well.....You will be inspired to see the goodness of your neighbor and learn to respect and accept him, and trust him that he could be good as well, that he has the capacity to respect and accept other people as well.....Love will make you see that the other person is inspired by love or could be inspired by love or could be capable of spreading love.....I read about this that a person no matter how bad he is still somewhere inside that tough heart of his, there is love even if he denies it in himself.....deep inside of him yes he has love....He just needed someone to make him realize that he has it.... The missionaries had somehow helped me through the years to keep my faith in love.....

Bring out the best in the family...
Today is the Feast of the Holy Family for Catholics but it could be for all families in the whole world as well....We make God as the center of our lives and Mama Mary, Joseph, and Jesus as our Holy Family....We are trying hard to follow the Holy Family in terms of having loving, generous, supportive members in our own families....How can we be a true family?
The key is we the children must never, never disrespect our parents, no matter what....I see how children nowadays treat their parents inappropriately....Most of our shows on TV and in movies show children as rebels, corrupt, disobedient while parents are shown as unfit as well to handle their kids....Remember some songs of Eminem....a son blaming his parents for his misery....and so many other songs telling us how we hated our own immediate families.....how come we never asked ourselves, what can I do to my family instead of blaming parents or your siblings for all your failures....What have you done as member in a family to save it?.... Have I been a good child myself.....If your parents failed to show love within your family, you have to make a difference instead....Show them how much you care for them by being a good daughter or a son.....to bring out the best in your family......You may never know you'll be the miracle that your parents are looking for....
Another big family that we should consider is "us" the whole community....including neighbors, friends, relatives, co workers etc....We must also include in our family the environment itself (animals and plants) that we should love, protect, and respect as well....
Remember my friends....."We are all part of God's family"...

Lanterns for Christmas
In my province in Pampanga, these lanterns would find their way during the Christmas season....People would cost them a lot just to have one displayed in their homes...but if you want to see more of these beautiful lanterns just visit San Fernando, Pampanga one of the greatest cities we have producing great lanterns....
I remember the "drama" I had with lanterns when I was younger^^....It was Simbang Gabi then and Noche Buena....The whole family except my late father went out to go to church for the Noche Buena mass....I was maybe 8 yrs old then and I was the only one left behind with my father coz they refused to wake me up because they said I was really so sleepy at that time....So when I woke up, they were already at the church....I went down the stairs crying....The more I even looked exactly like Bruce Lee then^_~from too much crying(sob sob T_T)....So my father was trying to pacify me....He told me to stop crying so what he did I remember was to point at me the beautiful lantern in our neighborhood....Although it was really hard for me to stop crying coz I really wanted to attend the Noche Buena mass....He sat beside me and told me about the lantern as the symbol of that light that had guided the three kings from finding the Child Jesus....and we just sat there for an hour and looked at that beautiful lantern....until I stopped crying....After that my father promised me that no matter what they would take me to the mass during the Noche Buena^^....but, by just looking at the lantern I may say by now that somehow I was already part of the thanksgiving mass we have for the birth of the Child Jesus....

Blessed Month...
December is a busy month yet it seems like everything just comes so smoothly during this particular month.....Like every Filipino would get excited about the coming celebrations it offers and everyone learns to offer a gift with one another.....although my real wish for us would be to become humble like what Jesus had shown us from the time of His birth and until now....We should be humble enough in asking blessings from God and in giving what we have to others....We should be thankful to all the gifts God has given us....Be thankful on what we have now and do not ask for too much....and share to others the blessings He has given us....

They have Jesus...
[caption id="attachment_528" align="aligncenter" width="500" caption="a painting of hope by Joey Velasco"]
[/caption]
Joey Velasco is a Filipino artist who gave so much hope to the lives of those street children he painted in his famous Hapag ng Pag-asa....
Why Hapag ng Pag-asa?....Joey Velasco was moved by his work that he made great efforts to help those street children he used as models in his painting....At first he just used them as his models , but God knocked on his heart and he searched for them, fed, and clothed them ...Now they have been sheltered by Gawad Kalinga....an organization helping people suffering from poverty....Here is an excerpt from the book...."They Have Jesus" written by Joey Velasco....

They Have Jesus
| Foreword (by Cardinal Rosales, Archbishop of Manila) A dinner table reveals a lot about hunger, manners and relations. Who sits near the host, who serves the guest or who cares for the youngest, all these are made known at the family dinner. More than taste, meanings are associated with what one eats or even on how one sits at the table. Friendship, old ties or the loss of it are suddenly recalled when diners meet, and the passing of food is enriched with stories and sharing of familiar knowledge and feelings. Surprisingly some meals are taken hurriedly, thus crumbs fly and the meaning of the coming together is lost. In the Israelites’ flight to safety at the night of the great escape (Exodus) the surprise of running away left the people with many experiences unexplained; symbols were lost, as people fled in fright. Thus many more meals will be celebrated in order to get to the meaning of their paschal meal. And “one of your children will ask you, what does this ritual mean?” Tell us that some meals have become so private and solitary that no one asks a question? What do we eat? Where’s the patis? Who’s coming to dinner? The art of conversation and telling stories has already been lost at many dining tables. More than enjoying a repast, a diner has need to reveal other wants. Every child diner at the hapag reveals a story of more hunger than a plate of rice could satisfy. Onse, a nine year old lad, for example sits at the hapag ng pag-asa, his plate cleaned to the last crumb, but he listens still to feed his other hungers as a cart-pushing scavenger whose father is a drug addict and the mama is a club strip dancer. At the table of the Master, Itok, the eleven-year old bread winner, another cart pushing scavenger, whispers that he has gone number of times to jail after having been caught in a number of thieveries. What hunger and desires did this talented scavenger bring to the feet of Jesus and those who believe in Jesus? A Christian community is fittingly disturbed as it watches the masqueraded struggle between good and evil, between wealth and poverty, between greed and compassion, power and weakness as played in the lives of these children robbed of innocence and security of an ordinary growing youth. Around the table were young people, including one whose hurt dug deep into her heart and completely erased whatever dignity a young girl had. Much misery is hidden behind the faces of the hapag children whose lives are further shrouded in the destitution of cemetery shack-dwellers and pushcart lodgers. Is the hapag still waiting for food, or are the poor young diners announcing a different hunger that makes young and old, rich and poor, the educated and the ignorant equally famished for nourishment that only love could satisfy? The artist Joey Velasco’s portrait of the young asks us more questions about ourselves rather than probe the hapag children. Rather than ask “why” these young people live in such an unkind and violent world, the challenge to the beholder of the portrait should be “how” in a Christian community the poor children could be helped out of such misery. Pope Benedict XVI in his first encyclical letter, DEUS CARITAS EST, reminded us that the essential core of communion, at the heart of love, remains the same: “within the community of believers there can never be room for a poverty that denies anyone what is needed for a dignified life”. (DCE, 20). The hapag is not an accusatory portrait. But the reality of the shacks under the bridges and the tunnels of homes along esteros, or the slums among the tombs from which many more young ones come, challenges every believer in the Christ who loves the poor. “How” can we be Christians to them? Can a good Christian, a true lover of Jesus, be without compassion for the poor? Welcome this portrait into your own and make the dining table serving life not just a table of hope, but isang HAPAG-IBIG or hapag ng pag-ibig. In addition the book was entitled "They Have Jesus" because Joey Velasco was inspired by one who viewed the painting and said to him that "No they weren't actually unfortunate or miserable....They have Jesus.", this viewer had said to the artist.... Blessed are the poor in spirit for they shall see God..... |

Serving others...
It's funny...at home I am the servant at school I am the boss...Asking the kids to get me a glass of water....to buy me a merienda....asking them to open the windows inside the class...close the door....erase the board...etc. etc. At home I was like a servant, clean the bathroom, prepare food, wash the dishes, run an errand etc. etc...But then it makes me realize that each of us has a role to play in this world....
This morning while I was riding a vehicle going home after running an errand as I always do every Saturday morning...there was this driver who seemed to be drunk coz I really thought that he could have killed both of us with his style of driving....OMG...I realized also that I wasn't that prepared to die yet when he drove really fast^^....I remember two years ago I had encountered a driver like that who isn't afraid to die I guess....Maybe he is dead by now with his Evil Knievel style of driving while the latest one was like Michael Schumacher I guess^^.....I remember really wanting to shout at "Evil Knievel" then but because of my "shock" at how fast we are running I just prayed to God then to keep us safe and sound...but^^ instead of praying the Lord's prayer or Hail Mary then I remember saying "Lord bless this food that we are about to receive from thy bounty haha^^ while holding onto the vehicle really tight^^"...I was really so nervous then OMG....that was also the time that I realized that I wasn't that prepared to die yet^^But kidding aside...those drivers should know better....They should think of the welfare of those people around them....To all the drivers out there....drive safely ok?
Are we really concern about the welfare of others? Until now I am weak and still struggling to become a better person to be able to really serve others and serve God....and we need God's guidance to keep us safe and sound everyday...

A Special Christmas
Can you imagine life without Christmas? As a Filipino here are some of the things we might miss....
1. Noche Buena.....sharing a decent meal or whatever we can afford with our families after attending a midnight mass at Christmas....
2. Simbang Gabi.....we usually have holy masses for nine days every night in preparation for Christmas....
3. Kris Kringle....sharing gifts with friends and family....
4. Christmas Carols....some civic organizations and young people visit and serenade homes with Christmas songs usually for a good cause.....
5. Pagmano sa Ninong at Ninang....Filipino tradition of receiving gifts from godparents....
6. Family reunions....the best time to be with our families.....
7. Lechon, queso de bola, bibingka, puto bumbong, kalamay and other finger foods abound...."busog talaga" to the max^^
8. Christmas lights, Christmas lanterns, Christmas trees could be found mostly in Filipino homes whether in rural or urban areas....almost anywhere.... on the streets, malls, etc....
9. Christmas shoppings, bargains are always available.....everyone is happy I guess^^.....
10. Lastly it's the best time to reconcile with family members and friends.....a time to humble ourselves.....
These are some of the wonderful things Christmas offer to us.....maybe some of them will be or might not be within our reach.....still I want Christmas to stay forever.....to be in our hearts always.....

Life
How time flies so fast!.....I'm getting old already^^.....but still there are so many things to learn.....It's true that the more you learn the more you will realize that you need to learn more....The more you will realize that you are still innocent of the things around you.....that's what learning or acquiring knowledge and wisdom is....That's why we do not stop searching for answers to all our questions in life.....Even if you are already self sufficient still somehow you won't stop asking questions.....because of our imperfections we aren't yet satisfied.....There's is no point of satisfaction....we always reach for the top....and when we get to the top...what then?.....There is what we call the law of diminishing return.....the tendency for you is to go backwards.....you will slowly return to where you belong.....to where you have been.....We have the ups and downs of life.....How does it feel to be on top?.....Maybe when you are already at the top...it's gonna be too tough to raise one's head up......because when you are at the top the tendency is for you to look down.....I feel like God created us to humble ourselves in the end....whether we made it or not.....His real intention in creating us is to be like Him.....to humble ourselves despite the success we might have in this world.....

Trusting my Savior.....
What are the things that we do when we are sick or suffering from pains?....In my case....I always offer whatever it is that I feel to God....Once I was confined in the hospital and it was my first time ever to be confined....I was already in my 30's then yet I acted like a child and I "texted" God and asked him to ease the pain that I was going through ....( I made some number combinations as if they are God's numbers^^.....and you know what?.....I was able to sleep soundly after I texted Him^^).....Just knowing that God loves us and knows how we feel means a lot to me already.....That was the reason why I felt so relieved inspite of the pain that I was going through.....
Many times I asked God why do we have to suffer from heartaches, poverty, injustice, wars, corruptions etc.....There are even those who had suffered much from what we had experienced.....And then we just stop complaining when those very people who suffered greatly than us would tell us how beautiful life is or how good God is to all of us.....In a way... in my humble experience, I was able to appreciate God's love for me when He embraced me and forgave me for all the stupid things that I've done.....Maybe if I had not experienced those things I wouldn't have been a better person as I am today....though I think I am still struggling to be one......a true Christian.....
I had experienced crying almost every night.....but I had no regrets when those things had happened.....They happened because God wants me to humble myself.....to make me understand that He is my savior....the one hope that I needed in this world......
All the things that had happened to me were all forgiven by Him......God knows us better than anyone else in this world......Let's put our trust in Him.....Trust God and everything will be alright^^.......
