Life Is Beautiful

Indeed, life is beautiful.....Imagine how those little creatures survive despite the bad weather we have every now and then.....Imagine how ants would bump into each other, then you would see them trying to make "bayanihan" pulling together a "gigantic" food they had discovered!.....How some sparrows would even stay on high voltage wires without getting electrocuted and enjoy every minute of it....How little kids would understand each other when they play even without talking.....Life is beautiful!

We live in a world where love and hate dwells yet love survives despite of it all....We live in doubts, in worries, even in turbulence yet hope could erased them all....Life is beautiful...

If you cry now it doesn't matter for tomorrow your tears will all be gone....there is a mystery, a beautiful mystery beyond those tears of yours that you have yet discovered...

Life is beautiful more than you could ever imagine!

Determination

For the past two weeks everything just worked well in school....I'm handling six graders now who happen to be so cooperative and well disciplined...Unlike the other year I was challenged to handle some stubborn or I may say rebellious students who at the young age of 12 to 15 yrs. old, already knew how to smoke and drink...I had then at least four who can't focus on their studies because of some undesirable habits...i.e. smoking, drinking and ( I even doubt if they're still virgins )...I remember being like Tim Duncan or Shaquille O'neal just to make sure they attend their classes and focus on their studies...By God's grace and some unexpected "homily" every now and then, they did become a little cooperative and manage to make it through at the end of their school year...

Deep inside I know students love it when you show how much you care for them...however they try to act as if they don't mind at all...We just need to be more caring and understanding on why they seem to lose interest on what is right...

But then, however determined teachers are for students to value education, there are some parents who don't believe in it...As last week I saw the one who gave me some "stress" last school year who I knew is still willing to study was not so lucky enough to enroll this year because of some family problems....And worst his idleness had led him to continue with his bad habits...I wish his parents had been more patient and determined in supporting their son...so that they could see the other side of him...the bright side of him....

Tragedy Of Life

There was this story between a servant and her master....The master was guilty of maltreating her servant....When the servant complained about it, the master decided to sue the servant and got the best lawyer in town....Now, the servant could not defend herself and she was even made looked like the guilty party....another lie...another form of manipulation....a tragedy in life....

I Am My Father's Child

Twelve years ago, I heard a song I seldom hear now, but I had a ten-minute peace when I first heard it....It was in a seminary when we had to accompany our friend who wanted to become a priest...The four of us then including the one entering priesthood were very close to our Dads...So when a seminarian during a program for neophytes sang..... "I am my Father's child"..we became so quiet...I remember Buboy, his father then died just two months ago...Mine it was then just two years ago, and Mike and Buru were so close with their fathers as well....I guess the four of us got so emotional when we heard the song...

God is our Father...We are children of God as the song says...

I remember a couple of hours before my father died, he asked my mother to call me early in the morning (I was still sleeping) and stay with him....I had no idea that it will be the last day we will be together..He made sure that my Mom was out in his room and my siblings when he told me...."This afternoon, I will die already"....(I was shocked...can't say anything)''....."Don't tell your Mom and your brothers and sisters coz I might scare them."...(What about me huh?)

I thought that he was just joking coz just three days ago then (he loves to joke actually) he was asking me about who won in the basketball game between his favorite team and its opponent (So how could you just say that you're dying after three days of being a sports fan?)...But that morning was different...There was something in the tone of his voice that I didn't like and made me so scared.....I wanted to cry already....but I had to be strong...Gathering all my strength I said...."Don't say that..You'll still live for a long time....Remember Hezekiah...You will be like him...I know that"..........He smiled......."Thank you....but our Father, the Most Powerful of all is calling me now......Mercado is calling me now" (Our neighbor's name is Jesus Mercado, so he meant Jesus)...and managed to give me the sweetest smile he could give despite that weak and pale face......I began to cry slowly but without sound , hiding my face in his pillow.....I knew he wanted me to be as strong as he was so I needed to show some courage....if not he might not die so peacefully so I had to slowly and painfully let go........

My father died peacefully in the afternoon as he predicted........

What I learned from my own father was....We should all be good sons and daughters....as well as good parents to our children.......All his life he became obedient and loyal  to the Father.....He was truly our Father's child....

To all our loving Fathers out there....Happy Fathers Day!....

What matters most.....

love and understand

When I was just a little girl my late father would read me books and share his thoughts about them....I think he was a genius....and the one who got all those wisdom in him is my older brother....and me, I was just a papa's girl hehe  who would happily listen to him and admire his wit...

The good thing about him was everyone I think  paid  attention on what he said.....He had charisma....He was very articulate and a good conversationalist...He didn't choose the person he would talk with...He knew how to listen...Even if you are the most boring person in the whole world, he would still listen...He  easily convinced others . ...I think it's because he was a very honest person...

I thought of him today because he is my inspiration...even if I didn't inherit some of those wit...what matters is he gave me so much love and understanding while he was living...

WWW Dot Generation VS Gone With The Wind

If we shall compare the youth today to those of yesterday...certainly there will be lots of differences...It's like comparing climatic conditions decades ago to the present...

When I was a child I used to play outside even without wearing my sandals ( or even without your underwear ehem) you feel the soil and you won't feel the heat...But now you have all your paraphernalias with you and you could still feel your skin burning with heat...

Most kids before knew how to wait but now waiting was a bore...and they would even tell you how bored they were...Oh they certainly want some action most of the time....

Before when you are in a classroom...you seldom see students becoming restless...and they really pay attention to the teacher most of the time...Now you have to remind them constantly to pay attention to what you'll have to say....they want to move more than to listen....They don't even know how to behave in public properly.... Their way of communicating is through shouting most of the time....They even have special names for their classmates (well I think it is due to gay lingo and exposure to gay bars and some gossip shows on TV)....I always remind them about calling names like Monkey or Horsey that it's not proper  ...but they love it when you call them like Madonna, Britney Spears, Beyonce, instead of their names...They were starstruck...ehem...

And their hairs...oh my...United Colors of Benetton hehe....Although some schools are stricter and they don't allow it.....They also have the Anime look....whereas before.....we have the Beatles look....Well somehow it has an effect on students because they don't seem to concentrate on their studies but more on making themselves look fashionable and trendy....Well there are a few who could be both trendy and brainy.....

So much with the differences....I just felt like it's quite difficult to raise children nowadays because of the influence of media and our environment ....How I wish we could be more vigilant to our children when it comes to disciplining them.....They are surrounded by so many temptations....Even old people are ...what more with these youth...

Being Positive

It really makes a big difference if you have happy people around you...Even if you just live a simple life..it makes you feel satisfied already...

My mother had difficulty walking but it seems like she doesn't worry much about it...So now I have to show her the same thing.....So we manage to have fun while I was putting a bandage on that part which was aching....it removes some worries we have regarding her condition...

In any endeavor, if we do not love the things that we do...it will be useless.....If you can't accept some situations you have to face...the more you'll suffer...
Even if situations don't seem to become right and nice for us....we should find ways to make things easier for us and face the challenges given to us....maybe at first it's difficult...but you'll get positive results if you face everything with courage.....

Moral Recovery

As of today..number of students who enroll in public schools in the Philippines continue to rise...It's an indication that most families can't afford sending their children to private schools...

682670976 Those who pursue college education would rather work first before finishing a course....We really could feel the high cost of education moreso the high cost of living....I think we are economically sufficient but morally insufficient....But then we should find ways to alleviate ourselves from poverty due to corruption...

We should be wiser...Think of ways to live decently...Be a good Christian...They say that our country now is the second most corrupt country in the whole world...So it's no longer surprising if we suffer much today...Imagine we were the first to become a Christian country in Asia yet we are the second most corrupt now....We need moral recovery...that should be our main focus if we want our country to rise up from unending poverty...
